Addison Craig is the natural extension of a friendship between two southern-born women living in Connecticut who shared a love of shopping, especially for shoes. Owners and best friends, Allison Craig Scanlan and Karin Addison Jack were previously involved in businesses outside the world of fashion. After Allison moved to Sarasota, Florida, the pair identified the need for an eclectic, fashion-forward boutique that carried a wide variety of shoes, handbags and accessories for every woman. Addison Craig, Sarasota opened in April, 2006. With an expanding inventory, and after doubling the size of the Sarasota store, they decided to open a second location in a place they vacationed together for many years with their families. That store, Addison Craig Nantucket, opened in April, 2008.
As their clientele grew, the owners of Addison Craig recognized a need to deliver the same selection and service offered by the Addison Craig stores to their loyal clients wherever they traveled.
